The "Kreuzbergl", as it's affectionately known ("bergl" being a diminutive of "mountain") is the preferred recreation area for locals. And that's not surprising because its horticulturally diverse forests, complete with serene ponds, offer something for everybody: cycle paths, jogging and walking tracks, picnic areas. If you have abundant energy, you might want to jog from the hotel to the lake, along the picturesque canal landscape ... maybe in preparation for local annual 'high energy' events, such as the Iron Man, the Half Marathon or the popular Beach Volleyball series.
